The room was fantastic. A huge comfortable double bed and additional chairs. The partition room was great for our son who has special needs. This provided him with the security that we were not too far away whilst allowing him his privacy. The shower was a double which worked well with good water pressure. We had the bonus of a roll top bath which although we didn't utilise, it was a great option to have. This bathroom had underfloor heating which worked well and was great This was also fitting to the period property, giving a sense of nostalgia and romanticism. The view was absolutely beautiful, a forward facing panoramic sea view from the huge windows providing plenty of light and encapsulating the warmth of the morning sunrise and the setting sun. Parking was available, but as we were out of peak times we found this no problem. During peak holiday season, I can imagine that availability of parking might be an issue. Breakfast was plentiful with a buffet style ranging from cereals, fruit, continental and full fry-up options. Worth the money for all you can eat. The location was fantastic with no interruption to the views and minimal vehicle interference. A beautiful coastal vista with huge skies to look upon. We will book again with the preference for room 108.

Easy access from the station to the hotel. Barely 5-10 minutes. Very pleasant and helpful reception and restaurant staff. Beautiful view of the English Channel from my window. Lovely walk track along the Leas just a few steps from the hotel. The hotel has accessibility options for wheelchair users and a lift. The room was clean and warm with a clean bathroom and walk-in shower. The room had the basic amenities of tea/coffee maker, small cupboard safe, complimentary biscuits, bathroom shampoo and wash lotion. The TV had many standard channels - good options for watching. The internet was good too. I loved the placement of the old type of telephone in the room with the pull-out tray for the address book. Although the circular dial had push buttons in it, it provided a rustic touch which I liked. The hotel has a good selection of breakfast to suit most tastes. A 15 minute walk along the Leas bring one into city centre where there is a good selection of restaurants.

Every staff member was friendly, professional, and very helpful. Kudos to all! Our bed was comfortable and the shower was great. The room itself was drafty, however, because a window could not be closed all the way and it was cold and blowing a gale outside! There was also a broken handle on the closet - in other words, it could have used some TLC. It is a very old, historic building, and we understand it takes a lot of time, effort, and money to keep these old places up to par, but the initial outlay for windows would likely pay for itself in A/C and heating costs (summer and winter) within a couple of years. They would increase comfort, provide better soundproofing, and save money in the long run. The hotel was ideally located right next to the beach, and there were a number of restaurants and shops within walking distance. The restaurant in the hotel was tasty, though, and we enjoyed our meals there.

The hotel is not bad for a price, we had a sea view room which was amazing, we stayed in a bigger room first night and it's definitely spacious, the bathroom is big and has a bath. The second night, we stayed in a smaller room, but still not bad at all and still spacious, just a smaller bathroom. The staff were amazing, very on point, and welcoming, which is rare these days. I had a request before coming to the hotel, and Miranda was perfect with prompt replies and helping me out. Ben in reception was great. He was very helpful and sorted us out for a next night.

We were greeted by a lovely friendly member of staff on arrival. We immediately knew we would be happy at this hotel. Our room was spacious and comfortable with a wonderful sea view. A very pleasant surprise. The restaurant and bar areas are relaxed and enjoyable to use. The breakfasts were plentiful, with a good variety of choices. The fresh fruit was delicious. The restaurant and bar staff were very welcoming, helpful and friendly. The evening meals were superb and we ate there 3 nights. A first class hotel. Thank you.
